We’re excited to introduce our newest team member, Brooke Cunningham, MSW, RSW.

Brooke is a Registered Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in community mental health, specializing in providing inclusive therapy for individuals aged 14 and older, as well as couples and families. Her practice focuses on supporting those impacted by childhood and intergenerational trauma, recognizing the far-reaching and complex effects of adverse childhood experiences. These challenges often manifest in education, workplaces, relationships, parenting, and mental health, and can make life transitions and obstacles particularly difficult for individuals who have not yet processed their struggles.

Brooke approaches therapy from an anti-oppressive, client-centered perspective, acknowledging the unique needs and lived experiences of every individual. Her therapeutic work is informed by an understanding that everyone inhabits different bodies, which shape their interactions with the world. She uses a trauma-informed framework, incorporating elements of mindfulness, narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems/Parts Work. She collaborates closely with her clients to develop personalized treatments that resonate with their specific goals and values.

She is particularly passionate about exploring how trauma surfaces during parenting and caregiving, and the impact these roles have on mental health and healing. Her practice emphasizes the therapeutic relationship as a cornerstone of effective therapy, prioritizing safety and trust. She actively involves clients in directing their therapeutic journey, honoring their expertise in their own lives.

Committed to continuous growth, Brooke consults with expert clinical supervision to ensure she provides safe, ethical, and professional care, while also working to acknowledge and address any biases stemming from her own lived experience.
